1. Who can use SkateMarks

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Accounts represent a parent or legal guardian who is managing data about a minor skater (or a coach managing students). The skater themselves does not interact with the app directly.

2. Your content

• You retain ownership of any video, text, or notes you upload ("your content").
• You grant SkateMarks a limited license to process your content to deliver the service: AI analysis, annotation generation, sharing with coaches you bind, and storage.
• You confirm you have the right to upload any clip — including consent from anyone visibly identifiable in the video other than your own skater.

3. AI analysis is guidance, not advice

SkateMarks generates AI-assisted annotations and milestone candidates as draft observations. These are not medical, safety, or qualified coaching advice. Always verify with a qualified coach before changing training plans or attempting new elements. We are not responsible for injury or training outcomes — the coach is.

4. Coach bindings

• Binding a coach to your skater grants that coach read access to your skater's lessons and milestones, and write access to add milestones and recaps.
• You can unbind a coach at any time from Settings → Coaches. Their access ends immediately. Past milestones they authored remain on the profile, with their name as author.
• Coaches must accept the same terms and a Coach Code of Conduct.

5. Pricing

• Free tier and paid tiers are described on our pricing page.
• We can change pricing with 30 days notice; you can cancel before any new charge applies.
• Coach growth share (where applicable) is paid monthly per active paid student bound to that coach. Subject to platform terms.

6. Acceptable use

Don't:

• Upload video of skaters who haven't consented (or for minors, whose parent / guardian hasn't consented).
• Use SkateMarks to harass, dox, or harm anyone.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or hammer the API beyond fair-use limits.
• Resell access to your account.

Violation can result in account termination.

7. Termination

You can delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. We can suspend accounts for terms violations or non-payment with reasonable notice (immediately for serious safety / legal issues).

8. Disclaimers and limits of liability

SkateMarks is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes get 30 days notice via email or in-app banner before taking effect.
